ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES

• Department Association “Manasu” was inaugurated by Dr. S Karunanidhi, Professor and Head, Department of Psychology, University of Madras and a Seminar on “Counselling and Guidance” was delivered by  the Resource Person Mrs. Maria Nalini Xavier, Research Scholar, University of Madras, Chennai – 05 on  02.2018.
• In 2019, Department of Psychology conducted one day seminar Titled “Counselling Skills in Special Groups” was delivered by the resource persona Mr. Krishnamoorthy, MA, MA, MSc(Psy), PGPC, DCP dated on 04.03.2019.
• Department Association organized a Seminar on ”Suicide Prevention” which was  presented by Resource person Dr. Nappinnai, Consultant Psychologist, Meenakshi Medical College and Research Institute, Kanchipuram on 03.10.2019. Department also organized rally and conducted various competitions on Suicide Awareness.
• In 2021, Department Association organized a Webinar on “Viruses don’t discriminate….Should We? From Pandemic to a better Normal” which was delivered by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Ismail, Ph.D., D.Sc., Teacher, Soil Biologist and Ecologist Chennai, India on 28.06.2021.
• Seminar on “Career perspective after Psychology” was organized by the Department of Psychology which was delivered by Dr. Sasikala, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology, University of Madras on 24.05.2022.
